Anthony (Tony) McClaren is running the California International Marathon on behalf of Sacramento Child Advocates, Inc. To create excitement and to symbolize the importance of sports in the lives of all children, Anthony will run the marathon with a rugby ball under his arm in order to raise awareness of rugby in the Sacramento area.  He will use nothing but his determination and will  to carry the ball throughout the event.

Sacramento Child Advocates, Inc (SCA) advocates for abused and neglected children who have been placed in the foster care system, and provides their legal representation.  SCA’s goal is to care for the Sacramento community's foster children and provide opportunities to improve their lives.
