Foster Care
Month
celebration
today on the
steps of the
Capitol
brought
together a
diverse
community of
children,
youth,
families,
foster care
advocates
and leaders
from all
three
branches of
government
to recognize
Californians
and their
contributions
to improving
the lives of
children in
foster care.
Participants
at today’s
event
additionally
urged the
state to
take
advantage of
a unique,
new
opportunity
to help
California’s
children and
families
under a
landmark new
federal law.
